We would like to invite you to become a member of "Stichting World Bass Clarinet" (World Bass Clarinet Foundation).
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the world's first ever specialist solo bass clarinet recital by Josef Horák, the WBC-Foundation hosted the first World Bass Clarinet Convention from 21st-23rd October 2005 in Rotterdam, Holland. These 3 days brought bass clarinettists, composers and representatives in the field together from all over the world for concerts, masterclasses, lectures, bass clarinet choirs and exhibitions.
We are happy to announce the board’s decision to plan
the Second World Bass Clarinet Convention in 2008. Further information, including
dates, will be published shortly.
The World Bass Clarinet Foundation is aimed at everybody with a passion for
the bass clarinet - professionals, teachers, students and amateurs will be
encouraged to participate in the WBC-Foundation.

The membership fee for the WBC-Foundation is € 25. Membership is
issued on
an individual basis. If you decide to attend, Foundation membership entitles
you to discounted passes for the Convention.".
